Howe Electric, Inc., is a family owned corporation that was started in 1949 and incorporated in 1959. We have been one of the largest union electrical contracting firms in Central California since 1954. Our main office is in Fresno and in 1980 a division office was opened in Bakersfield. Our area of work includes all of California, Nevada as well as other western states. Our advantage employment is approximately 150 employees. Sales have seen continual growth and now exceed $40,000,000 each year.

We have completed projects, or have projects in progress, that individually exceed $9,500,000. These include: High Security Military projects; Hospitals, including surgical rooms and other special systems; Institutions and Large Industrial Projects and Detention Facilities. We are one of the few contractors in California that have our own high voltage cable splicers necessary for the high voltage distribution systems these projects require. We have in some cases completely redesigned the electrical system for certain types of specialized equipment purchased outside of the United States, to provide functions for a particular process.

Throughout our history we have stressed with all of our employees that although profit is important, workmanship and safety are not to be ignored for the sake of profit and our reputation for honesty and quality cannot be jeopardized.

In order to keep up on the latest techniques in the industry, our superintendents are provided with ongoing training. In addition, an Operations Manual has been developed that describes the correct procedures for project management and includes a complete section on safety. We are proud of the fact that we have one of the best safety records in the industry.
